GLOBAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP WEEK is the world’s largest celebration of innovators and job creators who launch start-ups and bring ideas to life, drive economic growth and expand human welfare. During one (1) week each November, people are inspired by local, regional and international entrepreneurial activities, designed to assist them in exploring their potential as self-starters and innovators. GEW is celebrated in more than 170 countries (including Trinidad and Tobago). The Global Entrepreneurship Network headquartered in Washington D.C. has full oversight for this global initiative.
YBTT has been the local host of GEW for the past thirteen (13) years. This year’s GEW Activities was officially held from Nov 16 to 22, 2020. Find out more about the GEW Trinidad and Tobago campaign here: https://www.genglobal.org/trinidad-tobago
2020 GEW Advisory Board
One of this year’s highlight is the introduction of the GEW Advisory Board comprising a cross-section of ecosystem players in both the private and public sectors; the role of the GEW Advisory Board is to share their thoughts on how partners can best position their event virtually so as to obtain maximum publicity.
