Scaling with Confidence Workshop Series Wrap-Up

The 2025 Scaling with Confidence Series, hosted by Youth Business Trinidad and Tobago in partnership with EXIMBANK, delivered three high-impact sessions designed to equip entrepreneurs with the skills, strategies, and mindset to grow their businesses. Covering digital transformation, leadership and team building, and exporting, the series blended practical tools with real-world experiences from accomplished facilitators.

Entrepreneurs left each session with actionable steps they could apply immediately to strengthen their business foundations, expanding market reach, and positioning themselves for long-term growth. After each session 5 persons were selected to participate in a group consultancy with the respective facilitators.

Below you can review the recordings of each session.

Workshop 1: Digitizing My Business 2.0

Future-Proof Your Operations & Amplify Growth

Facilitator: Keron Rose
This session explored the evolving digital landscape in 2025 and how entrepreneurs can build strong, adaptable online presences. Participants learned how customer discovery now spans multiple channels, from search engines and AI tools to podcasts and news platforms, and why businesses must be visible across them. The workshop stressed the importance of building robust digital infrastructure, including websites, SEO, payment systems, and email lists, supported by content that converts. Attendees also gained insight into using AI as a supportive “co-pilot” for efficiency and strategy, and left with tools to repurpose content, improve discoverability, and integrate digital touchpoints for greater customer reach.

Workshop 2: Leading the Team that Builds Your Business

MASTERING GROWTH-STAGE LEADERSHIP & CULTIVATING HIGH-PERFORMING TEAMS

Facilitators: Avalene Connelly & Dale Laughlin
Focusing on the human side of scaling, this interactive session reframed leadership as the art of building, strengthening, and sustaining healthy teams rather than constantly “putting out fires.” Using the analogy of a business as a living organism, participants examined how each team member functions like an organ essential to the business’s overall health. Topics included developing emotional intelligence, fostering empowerment, creating healthy delegation practices, and aligning teams to a shared vision. Attendees left with practical tools to improve communication, maintain team morale, and embed leadership practices that drive long-term business sustainability.

Workshop 3: Exporting 2.0: Scaling Beyond Borders

UNLOCKING INTERNATIONAL MARKETS & SUSTAINABLE GLOBAL GROWTH

Facilitator: Rachel Renie-Gonzales
Drawing from her own entrepreneurial journey, Rachel offered a realistic, step-by-step approach to preparing for and executing an export strategy. She guided participants through assessing readiness, leveraging local and regional data, understanding compliance and packaging requirements, and conducting competitor analysis. The session emphasized building strong brand identity before entering international markets and using trade visits, networks, and support agencies to understand target markets. Participants also explored success factors for sustaining exports, including relationship-building, continuous optimization, and strategic growth planning.

The Journey Continues

Across all three sessions, a clear theme emerged: sustainable growth comes from combining practical skills with strategic vision. Whether attendees left with a stronger digital strategy, a renewed focus on leadership, or a clear path to export, the tools and connections gained will serve as building blocks for their next stage of growth.

YBTT encourages all entrepreneurs to continue applying the lessons from this series, explore further training opportunities, and connect with support networks like EXIMBANK to keep scaling with confidence.
