About Global Entrepreneurship Week

Global Entrepreneurship Week is the world’s largest celebration of the innovators and job creators who launch start-ups, bring ideas to life, drive economic growth, and expand human welfare. Each November, a massive campaign inspires individuals with local, regional, and international activities designed to help them explore their potential as self-starters and innovators.

Celebrated in more than 200 countries, YBTT is proud to be the official host for Trinidad and Tobago for the 17th consecutive year. This year’s official celebrations will take place from November 17 to 23, 2025, uniting stakeholders to build our nation’s future.

What is the Global Entrepreneurship Network?

The Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN) powers a platform of projects and programs in 170 countries, making it easier for anyone, anywhere to start and scale a business. By fostering deeper cross-border collaboration among entrepreneurs, investors, researchers, policymakers, and entrepreneurial support organizations, GEN fuels healthier ecosystems for start-ups to thrive.

 

This approach generates more jobs, accelerates innovation, and strengthens economic growth, while ensuring a more equitable global entrepreneurial landscape.

The 2025 GEW Theme:

“Together We Build”

This year’s theme, “Together We Build,” is a powerful declaration of our core belief: that entrepreneurship is a collaborative endeavor. It champions the power of the collective ecosystem in forging a prosperous and resilient future.

In Trinidad and Tobago, this theme speaks to the very heart of our culture. From the smallest community project to the largest national enterprise, progress is driven by partnership. Our entrepreneurs thrive when they are supported by a strong network of mentors, investors, policymakers, and peers. GEW 2025 is the platform where this network comes to life.

This year, we are issuing a call to action to every corner of our nation. To the dreamers, the innovators, the investors, and the institutions: let us unite. Because it is only when we act as one that we can build a future of limitless opportunity for all.
