Just Getting Started: Passion, Purpose, and Building Something That Matters

When you meet Lucky Pinder, you quickly sense that she’s not just building a business: she’s building a movement, one step at a time. As the Co-founder of WearFit Community, Lucky represents a growing wave of entrepreneurs blending purpose, passion, and persistence to create spaces that matter.

Her entrepreneurial journey began in 2018 and has taken different forms. At its core, though, it has always been about connection: connecting people to wellness, to style, and to themselves, whether through her growing book club, community hikes, or digital content.

“Being a multi-passionate entrepreneur can be messy, but it’s also empowering. The key is understanding that no matter what I’m doing, I’m doing it from a place of purpose.”

What is WearFit Community?

WearFit Community (WC) is a digital-first brand that promotes wellness, confidence, and authenticity through fitness, nutrition and holistic self-development content. But it is more than a business. It is an intentional space created by Lucky to inspire transformation. Whether through her content, her community-building efforts, or her growing service portfolio, Lucky’s brand celebrates progress: not perfection.

“Your journey is unique. Embrace everything about it. It is building you.”

From Flow to Formation

When WearFit Community first came to life, it came from a place of calm alignment. For Lucky, the idea felt natural, like stepping into something that was already waiting for her.

“It wasn’t necessarily a stressful time… it was kind of like a flow. Like you didn’t see the whole staircase, but you started to take one step at a time, and things fell into place. It was a good time. That’s what I felt. So it was a different energy.”

This gentle sense of momentum continues to shape how she builds. From content creation and wellness facilitation to podcasting and digital storytelling, each venture is a step in her unfolding journey, expressive, thoughtful, and rooted in healing.

Balancing Multiple Passions and the Reality of the Journey

While juggling several creative ideas isn’t always easy, Lucky embraces the journey. From content creation to curated wellness sessions and fitness gear, each offering is a reflection of her lived experience.

“Being multi-passionate can feel overwhelming at times, but I’ve learned to trust my gut and give myself room to grow. It’s not about doing it all at once. It’s about being intentional with what I bring forward.”

Lucky’s path hasn’t followed a straight line. Like many purpose-driven entrepreneurs, she has faced moments of burnout, self-doubt, and unexpected pivots. But she’s also gained clarity and strength from those moments.

“My WHYs keep me going. Knowing that each day I show up, I create opportunities for someone else to believe they can show up too.”

Success, for Lucky, is no longer about hitting milestones for validation. It’s about being in alignment.

“Success today means I go to sleep with the following questions answered: Did I try today? Did I learn today? Did I serve today?”

Support that Builds the Foundation

Lucky’s growth as an entrepreneur was significantly strengthened by her participation in YBTT’s JumpSTART Incubator. Through the programme, she gained clarity, practical tools, and mentorship that helped her bring structure to her many ideas.

“JumpSTART helped me to shape my thinking as a business owner. It gave me clarity on how to bring all the pieces together without losing the heart of what I do.”

She particularly appreciated the focus on self-awareness, business fundamentals, and the one-on-one guidance provided through the programme. It reminded her that while her journey was unique, she didn’t have to walk it alone.

A New Season of Growth

Now, Lucky is entering a new phase with WearFit Community. From relaunching additional services to deeper community engagement, she’s laying the groundwork for something bigger.

“Definitely exciting things to come to the WC world, including a service relaunch and more ways to connect with the community. I’m just getting started.”

As the WearFit Community grows, Lucky continues to explore new ways to connect, whether through increased book club discussions or stepping outside and reconnecting through nature-based hikes. Her energy is focused on building deeper, more intentional relationships with her audience while staying true to the authenticity that brought her this far.

Advice to Fellow Creatives and Founders

Lucky’s journey has given her a grounded perspective, and she’s passionate about encouraging others along the way.

“Start with what you have, and keep building. With each step, you will learn and evolve.”

To those unsure of their path or worried about not having it all figured out, she offers this:

“It’s definitely a wild, fun, freeing, and challenging ride. But there’s no right way to do this. Keep showing up.”

The Power of Beginning

As part of Youth Business Trinidad and Tobago’s 25 for 25 campaign, Lucky’s story highlights that entrepreneurship doesn’t always start with a grand vision. Sometimes, it begins with a whisper, a need to do something different, and grows louder as we take action.

Lucky Pinder is proof that you don’t have to have it all figured out to get started. You just need the courage to begin. And when you do, as Lucky’s journey shows, the possibilities are limitless.
